Decking was replaced beginning of July, but it’s taken me a while to write the blog up. Sorry! ๐
When we moved in the back garden was a complete mess. Grass was full of weeds, Cooper wouldn’t even step on it, so the man dug it all up & re-seeded. Now we have nice backyard grass (yes, with some patches from Mr Cooper :D).

While the grass was growing strong, the old decking was getting worse and worse. At one point Cooper had his legs go through the boards, so at that point we decided to change it fairly swiftly!
We got all the decking boards & supports from Mick George, the delivery came Monday & by Friday evening it was all done! Well done MAN!!! ๐

I didn’t take any part in this, I only supervised and took pictures, as did Cooper! ๐

The end result is amazing. It’s secure, stable, you can’t fall through and it looks million times better! The Man also closed off the gap between our brick wall & neighbours fence. Not entirely sure why there was a gap in first place.

Once it was done we started having our dinners outside. I also got three glass jars, which I tied round the brick wall & put candles in. And yes, once upon a time, I used to have fairy lights as well, but someone went over the lead with lawnmower. (eyeroll). I mean- Really? Did you not see it? No? Ok. I buy some more!
So, now I have lovely festoon lights from Cox & Cox, which are draped around the whole garden (in above after picture). I’m a real sucker for lights- in summer festoons & December Christmas lights full on.
This summer we had sweet peas in our garden, or what was left after slugs feasted on them! They were blooming all summer long. I’ve taken the pods down & will saw them in the spring! ๐
MUUUUUUM.. TAKE A PICTURE OF MEEEEE!!!!
P.S. I’m totally hooked on Carrie Underwood at the moment. Go check out her latest album from last year- Storyteller.
