I always go through phases of what I crave and I am sure- you do to. Recently I have been craving smoothies, so I thought, I should share my favourite smoothie recipes I’ve tried with you.
I have a massive sweet tooth, so I always make fruit smoothies. But this time- I decided to replace cow milk with plant based milk. All 9 variants of these are really easy, only 3 or 4 ingredients in each smoothie. Which gives you a lot of flexibility on mixing things up. Or if you just want to try to see if you like it or not, you won’t be wasting a lot of money on all different ingredients.
If you have never had smoothies before, I would really suggest in buying couple of fruits and only one type of milk to have a go first, before you buy all different fruits and milks. You can use both- fresh & frozen fruit.
All Ingrediens I used:
- Bananas
- Blueberries
- Strawberries (fresh & frozen)
- Raspberries
- Cherries
- Mango
- Chocolate chips
- Gluten Free Oats
- Cocoa Powder
- Honey
- Almond Milk
- Oat Milk
- Coconut Milk
Notes – I didn’t measure anything, I did all these on-the-eye, but my blender capacity is 700ml. Most of these I filled about half-way, there or thereabouts. For all smoothie recipes- if you want them to be more liquid, add more milk. If you want them to be more thicker, reduce the milk and add more fruit.
With fresh fruits like strawberries, blueberries, ones without skin, make sure you rinse them off before putting them into your blender.
When you start blending and you feel like it’s a bit too think, stop blending and add a bit more milk to thin it out.
Right… let’s dive into our Smoothie Recipes!
Smoothie #1 – Banana + Blueberry (I used almond & oat milks)
I used 1 banana and handful of blueberries, then topped it up with milks.

Smoothie #2 – Banana + Strawberry (I used almond & coconut milks)
1 banana plus handful of strawberries and topped it up with milks.

Smoothie #3 – Banana + Strawberry + GF Oats + Oat Milk
1 banana, handful of strawberries and couple table spoons of oats. Add oat milk as required.

Smoothie #4 – Banana + Chocolate Chips + Oat Milk
2 bananas and 1-2 tablespoons of chocolate chips. Add oat milk as required. To make it more smoother- chop up the chocolate a bit before you add it into your blender.

Smoothie #5 – Raspberry + Mango + Chocolate Chips + Coconut Milk
Handfuls of raspberries & mango, 1-2 tablespoons of chocolate chips. Same as above, chop the chocolate up a bit before adding into your blender. Add your milk of choice.

Smoothie #6 – Raspberry + Mango + Banana + Oat Milk
Handfuls of raspberries & mango, add 1 banana and top it up with milk.

Smoothie #7 – Black Forrest Smoothie – Cherry + Honey + Cocoa Powder + Almond Milk
1-2 handfuls of cherries, tablespoon of cocoa powder. If you want it to taste a bit sweeter, add a tablespoon of honey. Add milk. What I found with this Black Forest smoothie was that after I blended it for a little bit, it got very thick, so I had to add bit more almond milk.

So…what do you think? Will you give these smoothie recipes a go? My absolute favourite is the black forrest one. There is just something about it that makes it stand out for me. Probably the chocolate aspect of it.
Feel free to change the milks or use normal- cows- milk, between all smoothies. These are very easy to make, to change around the fruit or change completely.
And.. how cute are my smoothie glasses? We got them from LSA and they are my go to glasses for everything, so versatile, just love them. Link here to see which ones I have.
